Experience
Valérie started her career in 1997 in the Patent Department at GENSET, Paris. Then, she was head of the IP at CELLECTIS, Paris. She joined Becker & Associés in 2003 and became a partner in 2007.
Qualifications
Valérie has a PhD in Biochemistry from University of Paris VII, France. She also graduated from the International Patent Law School (CEIPI) in Strasbourg, France and from the European Patent Litigation Course. She recently obtained a further Master Degree, in IP law. She is a registered French Patent Counsel and an authorized European Patent Attorney.
Highlights
Valérie assists her clients, public institutes or innovative companies, in protecting and defending their innovations worldwide. Her multiple activities include building their patent portfolio, lodging opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office, and performing patentability and freedom to operate analysis. She is also involved in patent lawsuits in France and other countriesand in IP due diligence operations for investors. Valérie particularly enjoys teamwork with her clients.
