Experience

Elodie had served in a patent law firm in Paris for three years prior to joining Becker & Associés in 2011. She became a partner to the firm in 2023.

Qualifications and professional activities

Elodie Verhaeghe has a PhD in Chemistry from the University Paris-Sud. She also graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier (equivalent to a M.Sc. in Chemistry), including a Master Degree in Pharmacology from the Faculty of Pharmacy of Montpellier. Elodie graduated from the International Patent Law School (CEIPI) in Strasbourg. She is a French Patent Counsel and an authorized European Patent Attorney.

Elodie is also an authorized representative before the Unified Patent Court.

She is a member of AIPPI, LES and CNCPI professional organizations.

Fields of Expertise

Elodie assists her clients in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications. She prepares validity and infringement opinions and conducts analysis of patent portfolios for investors. She is also involved in litigations and Opposition proceedings. Elodie particularly appreciates challenging inventions and complex legal situations, in particular in the pharmaceutical field and Supplementary Protection Certificates (SPCs).
